Kadyrov promises problems with treatment for refusing to get vaccinated

Residents of Chechnya are massively refusing to get vaccinated against coronavirus and spread conspiracy theories in social networks; such people should be the last to receive medical care, Ramzan Kadyrov has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 15, 2021, residents of Chechnya said that kindergarten staff in the region were forced to get vaccinated against coronavirus under threat of dismissal, while officials ignored local doctors' certificates about people's contraindications to vaccination. Another local resident reported that in late April in the Nadterechny District of Chechnya, policemen were vaccinated without asking if they had any contraindications.

On May 25, at a meeting at the anti-virus headquarters, Kadyrov stated that everyone who refuses to get vaccinated should be the last to receive medical services. "If he (who refused to get vaccinated, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") falls ill, he should be the last to get admitted to hospital," Ramzan Kadyrov stated in the video posted at night on May 26 in his page in the "VKontakte" social network.

The vaccination against coronavirus in Chechnya is "very passive," Ramzan Kadyrov wrote in his post, criticizing the opposition to the vaccination campaign in social networks. "There are 'unfortunate experts' on covid who are hindering the vaccination campaign by spreading some conspiracy theories around vaccines in social networks. What is most surprising is that many residents follow them by sending this nonsense further within their groups," Kadyrov said.
