During the week of April 5-11, 2021, during the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus, no information about any casualties or wounded persons was reported. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

Special and counterterrorist operations

On April 6, law enforcers' equipment was pulled into the streets of several settlements of the Sunzha District, including Sunzha and the village of Troitskaya, where they checked people's documents. These activities were accompanied by disabling the mobile Internet, eyewitnesses report. Law enforcers did not explain to local residents what was happening. In the evening on April 6, the special activities in the Sunzha District were over; while the mobile Internet was restored only at about 11:00 a.m. on April 7.

Detentions

On April 5, it became known that during a joint operation conducted by the Russian FSB and the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) in the city of Kislovodsk of the Stavropol Territory, an earlier convicted resident born in 1996 was detained as a suspect of preparing a terror act. According to investigators, he had produced homemade grenades aiming to blow up a police station. Law enforcers seized components for making a homemade bomb, explosives, striking elements and extremist literature from the detainee. Also in Kislovodsk, three residents associated with him were detained, who, according to investigators, were involved in financing terrorists in Syria. All the four detainees had formed a unit of the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court.
