Participants of Chechen wedding procession apologize to GIBDD for dangerous driving

The Chechen GIBDD (road police) releases a video in which four residents of Urus-Martan are apologizing for violating traffic rules on a wedding day.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Chechen law enforcement bodies regularly publicly reprimand residents of the region for various actions. For example, in a report released by the “Grozny” TV Channel on March 29, law enforcers reprimanded Grozny teenagers for drug abuse.

Employees of the Chechen GIBDD monitored social media for materials on traffic violations, “negatively affecting the consciousness of citizens,” and discovered a video with a wedding cortege, reported Idris Cherkhigov, the chief of the Chechen GIBDD. According to him, the top-ranking GIBDD officials held a conversation with heroes of the video.

“The young people were driving a tractor and using firearms. They went wild, violated the traffic rules and the law,” explained a press officer of the Chechen GIBDD.

In their comments on Instagram, most users criticized the violators. However, some users questioned the seriousness of the violation. “Policemen themselves pose a threat to the security of citizens,” wrote user amasonka888.
