Karabakh rescuers find remains of three dead persons

Rescuers have resumed the search for the bodies of those who perished during the aggravation of the Karabakh conflict; today, in the territory of the Martuni District, now under Azerbaijan's control, they found remains of military servicemen. Since the start of searches, they found and evacuated the bodies of 1502 persons, the State Emergency Service of Nagorno-Karabakh has reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that immediately after the cessation of fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh in the fall of 2020, the Karabakh Emergency Service began searching for the casualties' bodies. On March 15, the searches were suspended due to unfavourable weather.

On Tuesday (March 16), the above remains were found in the south-eastern part of the Martuni District of Karabakh; while searches in Fizuli (the Armenian name is Varanda) gave no results, the Service has noted.

Since the start of the searches, the bodies and remains of 1502 casualties have been found. On March 17, rescuers intend to conduct searches in the Gadrut District, the "Sputnik Armenia" reports.
