Native of Chechnya detained after brawl with Moscow law enforcers

Said-Mukhammad Djumaev, a native of Chechnya, who used violence against law enforcers at a Moscow rally in support of Alexei Navalny, was detained in the Pskov Region.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after rallies in support of Navalny, held on January 23 throughout Russia, a video appeared in social networks in which a young Chechen beats up law enforcers; and they fight back with truncheons, after which he manages to escape. Adam Delimkhanov, a State Duma MP and an advisor to Ramzan Kadyrov, has suggested the guy to renounce the opposition, promising instead that the head of Chechnya would help him in solving his problems with the law.

Lawyers have suggested that a positive characterization of the guy from Chechen authorities will become a weighty argument during the trial against him.

Let us remind you that on January 23, according to Leonid Volkov, the head of the Navalny's network of offices, the protests were attended by, 250-300 thousand people. Protesters who took to the streets were detained, including in Southern of Russia – in the Krasnodar Territory, in the Volgograd, Rostov and Astrakhan Regions, and in Dagestan.
