Relatives of Armenian POWs ask peacemakers for help

Relatives of the Armenian soldiers captured during the clash in the Gadrut District have appealed to Rustam Muradov, the commander of Russian peacemakers in Nagorno-Karabakh, with a request to assist in releasing them.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 11-12, the first violation of the ceasefire regime since the end of the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh was recorded in the Gadrut District – armed clashes in the vicinity of the villages of Khtsaberd (the Azerbaijani name is Chailakkala) and Khin Takher (Kyokhne Taglar) in the Gadrut District ... On the following day, residents of the Shirak Region of Armenia blocked the Gyumri-Yerevan highway, stating that dozens of their fellow countrymen were captured in the Gadrut District.

The "Caucasian Knot" has drafted a map to show the territories that will pass over to Azerbaijan after the autumn war. Also, the "Caucasian Knot" has published a deployment map of the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The message informing that the relatives of the Armenian prisoners of war (POWs) have turned to General Muradov, the commander of Russian peacemakers in Nagorno-Karabakh, with a request for help in releasing the Armenian POWs, came to the SMS-service of the "Caucasian Knot". "Dear Rustam Muradov! We ask you, as far as possible, to help in the release of our POWs. We wait and hope only for you [...] We feel very sorry for our soldiers," the author of the message wrote on December 21.

The above POWs mainly include residents of the Shirak Region of Armenia; and all of them are volunteers, a relative of Artyom Mkrtchyan, one of the POWs captured near the village of Khtsaberd, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
