Inal Djabiev's family continues protest action in Tskhinvali

About 15 persons continue their action in Tskhinvali, demanding an investigation into the death of Inal Djabiev. His family intends to protest until the perpetrators are punished, Oksana Sotieva, Inal's widow, has stated.

Inal Djabiev was detained within the case of an attempt on the life of Igor Naniev, the Interior Minister, and died on August 28. Photos of his body with traces of severe beatings appeared on the Internet. Djabiev's death was followed by Igor Naniev's resignation, followed by resignation of the Premier, Eric Pukhaev, and the entire government.

"Law enforcers did not allow us to set up tents and make a fire. Our action is endless; it will last until we achieve a fair investigation into Inal's death," the "Res" agency quotes Ms Sotieva as saying.

Let us remind you that after the death of Djabiev, residents of South Ossetia repeatedly went to protest actions, including with a demand of resignation of the head of the region, Anatoly Bibilov.

The version of Djabiev's death from heart failure due to the abolition of the drug is at odds with the story by Nikolai Tskhovrebov, who was detained together with him and who told about Djabiev's cruel torture.
