Two men perished in law enforcers' shootout in Achkhoi-Martan

An employee of the "Rosgvardia" (Russian National Guard) and another man have perished in a shootout that occurred among law enforcers in the Chechen village of Achkhoi-Martan, a law enforcement source has stated today.

"In the Chechen village of Achkhoi-Martan, not far from a café, a shootout occurred between SOBR (rapid deployment special police detachment) and OMON (riot police) fighters, as a result of which two men were killed, including one "Rosgvardia" employee and one civilian. The number of victims is currently being established," the TASS has quoted its source today.

The reason for the shootout is being established; an investigative-operative group is working at the venue, the source has added.
