Kaspiysk resident accused of preparing attack on law enforcers

The 37-year-old resident of Kaspiysk had joined a terrorist grouping; then, he bought a pistol and cartridges and planned to attempt to kill law enforcers, investigators assert.

According to their version, in December 2019, the man joined a terrorist organization, after which he suggested his acquaintances to create an illegal armed formation (IAF) in order to attack law enforcers. The latter refused, the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has reported. The defendant could not carry out his plans as he was detained.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2018, another resident of Dagestan joined a banned terrorist organization and called not to observe secular laws and create a state with a radical form of religious rule. He was charged with participation in the activities of an extremist organization.
