Campaign of condemning Zakaev reaches Gordali village
The organizers of the gathering of the Gordaloi teip (family clan) have joined the campaign of attacking Akhmed Zakaev and the Chechens living in Europe. They declared their readiness to stop the critics of Ramzan Kadyrov and the republic's authorities.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 16, the participants in the gathering in Akhmat-Yurt, Ramzan Kadyrov's ancestral village, adopted a resolution condemning Akhmed Zakaev, the head of the government of the self-proclaimed Ichkeria (banned in Russia) and other critics of Chechen authorities from among emigrants. Instagram users have doubted that the participation in the gatherings was voluntary.
In Chechnya, the video showing a naked man sitting onto a bottle caused a broad resonance; the man explained that he was doing it as punishment for his cooperation with the opposition 1ADAT Telegram Channel. Akhmed Zakaev condemned the humiliation of Salman Tepsurkaev and stated that he had proofs that Chechen authorities were involved in the kidnapping and torture of Tepsurkaev.
According to the "Grozny" TV Channel, the participants of the gathering in the village of Gordali, Nozhai-Yurt District, expressed their discontent with the so-called "Euro-Ichkerians".
"Whoever encroaches on Kadyrov's honour encroaches on the honour of our people; and we'll stop him," Zubair Mamadiev, a participant in the gathering, has stated.
Zakaev reported on the detention of his brothers, sisters and nephews by law enforcers.
"Kadyrov's team is trying to show residents of Chechnya and members of the Chechen Diaspora in Europe that the incumbent head of the republic is the only leader of all the Chechens ... Zakaev is one of the few more or less influential critics of Chechen authorities," Mikhail Roschin, an Orientalist, has explained.
