On August 31-September 6, no victims of during armed conflict in Northern Caucasus were recorded

During the week from August 31 to September 6, 2020, no information was received about the victims of the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from open sources.

Detentions

On August 31, it became known that six people were detained in five regions of Russia, including a resident of Dagestan, who, according to investigators, had raised and transferred money to militants of a terrorist organization in Syria. According to the FSB, a "conspiratorial cell" of supporters of the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court, operated in Moscow, Dagestan, Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khanty-Mansiysk.

Let us note here that on August 24-30, an alleged militant was killed in Ingushetia; and a week earlier (on August 17-23), at least seven people suffered: five alleged militants were killed, and two law enforcers were wounded during an armed clash in Ingushetia.
