Talghi residents kidnapped by Dagestani law enforcers, fellow villagers report

In the village of Talghi, two workers of a stone quarry were kidnapped and beaten by law enforcers, participants of the village gathering claimed. Relatives of Djabrail Ibnukhazhirov, a resident of the Talghi village, who was arrested in November, suggest that his criminal case and the kidnappings of the local residents are related to the operation of the stone quarry.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in November 2019, the court arrested Djabrail Ibnukhazhirov, who was detained together with driver Magomedgadji Magomedov on the charge of possession of firearms. Djabrail Ibnukhazhirov claimed he was tortured with electric current. Relatives and advocate of the man believe that the firearms were planted to him.

A relative of Djabrail Ibnukhazhirov associates the kidnapping of the two Talghi residents with pressure on the Djabrail Ibnukhazhirov's family members, who own the quarry and supply stones for the construction of buildings for the Caspian flotilla.

A female relative of Djabrail Ibnukhazhirov notes that one of the kidnapped Talghi residents is called Said, like her son. The woman believes that the kidnappers wanted to take her son Said Ibnukhazhirov away with them, but confused the two fellow villagers.

The woman claims that her family is under pressure and all family members are being watched.

In the Talghi village, most men work at the above mentioned stone quarry. The wages they get there are their only income.
