Kizilyurt woman claims her son detained unreasonably after a search

During a search in a house of Murad Musaev, a resident of Kizilyurt, law enforcers found a pistol and detained the man on suspicion of helping a young woman to leave for Syria, the mother of the detainee said. According to her, there were no weapons in the house before the search.

On July 30, more than 20 law enforcers broke into the house in Kizilyurt, where Aishat Musaeva lived. They were looking for her son, the woman told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to her, she felt bad when she saw law enforcers.

Aishat Musaeva's son lives in Makhachkala, but on that day, he stayed in Kizilyurt to visit his friend.

After returning, the law enforcers locked the door and did not let his mother into the house, she said.

When Murad Musaev was brought to the house, the law enforcers searched the house again. They allegedly found a pistol in the house where Murad Musaev lived earlier.

After the search, the law enforcers took Murad Musaev away to some unknown destination, his mother added.

Aishat Musaeva noted that her son did not know the young woman mentioned in a law enforcers' resolution and did not have any weapon. The woman believes that the law enforcers planted the weapon, but she does not understand the motives and interest of the law enforcement bodies against her son.

Murad Musaev was not a practicing Muslim and did not perform namaz (prayer). He was not a supporter of radical views, his mother added.
