Azerbaijani villager killed on border with Armenia
A civilian was killed during a shelling attack on a village from the Armenian side, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijani reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that starting from July 12, there are shelling attacks on the combat positions deployed near villages and towns on both sides of the border in the Tovuz District of Azerbaijan and the Tavush Region of Armenia.
As a result of the shelling attack from Armenia, Aziz Izzet oglu Azizov, born in 1944, a resident of the village of Agdam in the Tovuz District, was killed, the Azerbaijani MFA reported.
The shelling attacks on villages and towns in Azerbaijan threaten residents and "seriously damage the economy and infrastructure of civilian facilities," the Azerbaijani MFA claimed.
"We urge the international community to respond harshly to the shelling attacks on the Azerbaijani population by the Armenian armed forces," the Azerbaijani MFA added.
