Number of victims in shootout on Nazran outskirts rises to five

In Ingushetia, one of the victims of a shootout has got severe injuries and died in a resuscitation ward of a hospital.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 16, at least four persons, including a law enforcer, were killed in a shootout in Nazran. During the conflict, a police captain and a fighter of the National Guard of Russia were killed. In Nazran, the shootout was provoked by a property dispute between relatives, the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported.

Two victims with severe injuries still stay in the hospital.

The police detained a suspected initiator of the conflict – an elderly man who started a land dispute with his cousin.

One of the victims who were killed during the shootout was a worker not involved in the conflict, the TASS reports with reference to its source.

"The victim was a worker who was laying paving slabs not far from the scene of the conflict. According to preliminary assumption, he was killed from a service pistol by the fighter of the National Guard of Russia," the TASS quoted the source as reporting.

The fighter of the National Guard of Russia himself and another civilian were killed from a shotgun.
