Law enforcers' special operation is this year's second in Sunzha District

The operative-search operations in the Sunzha District of Ingushetia were preceded by a special operation conducted in March, during which an alleged militant was killed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 13, operative-search actions were launched over the Assa River in the Sunzha District. Local villagers were warned not to visit the area in question, a source from the district administration has informed.

The special operation, launched on May 13, became the second in the Sunzha District since March 4. On that day, during a special operation in the village of Alkun, a man was killed – supposedly, a visitor from Dagestan. According to law enforcers, he had weapons, foodstuffs and a sleeping bag on him. No one else suffered during that special operation.

In 2019, the republic saw four armed incidents; the last one was on December 31, when, at the attack on a traffic police post in Magas, two people were killed – a law enforcer and an alleged militant. Four others were wounded: three law enforcers and one alleged militant.
