Sources report man's death from grenade explosion in Volgograd

A grenade has exploded in a car parked in a street in Volgograd, killing a man, a source from the city's emergency services has preliminarily reported.

The blast occurred in the evening on April 27, explosion occurred in Khoroshev Street in the Dzerzhinsky District of Volgograd.

"According to preliminary information, a hand grenade has blown up in a car parked in the street. One person was wounded," an informed source told the "Interfax". According to another source, the owner of the car was killed, the "Interfax" has added, noting that the car was damaged with fragments.

According to the TV channel, the man was hospitalized into one of city hospitals in grave condition, and the explosion occurred when he opened the door of his car.
