In Azerbaijan, over half of coronavirus-infected patients recover

In Azerbaijan, the number of people infected with the coronavirus infection increased by 38 people and reached 1436. More than half of them – 791 people –have already recovered.

By April 19, in Azerbaijan, the coronavirus death toll reached 19.

On March 24, Azerbaijan imposed the quarantine regime, and it will last till May 4. People over 65 years old are forbidden from leaving their homes, while other people may go out on special occasions only. On April 5, the country imposed a system of permits for movement.

Out of the patients who are receiving medical treatment in the hospital, 16 stay in severe condition, 23 are in moderate condition, and the condition of the rest are assessed as stable, the operational headquarter reports.

It should be noted that for the fifth day, in Azerbaijan, the number of recovered patients exceeds the number of new cases of the coronavirus infection.
