Instagram users do not believe video from place of shootout in Dagestan

Till present, the law enforcement bodies have not yet identified a man killed today in the Tabasaran District. Users of social network demanded to make public a video of the very shootout, and not just its consequences.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that sources from the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan have reported that today, near the village of Darvag in the Tabasaran District, a shootout occurred between law enforcers and a driver of a car, who refused to stop. The driver was killed. The shootout became the first armed incident in the republic since June 2019.

Till present, the killed man has not yet been identified, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed at the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

A today's post left by the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) on its page in Instagram is accompanied by a video, which shows a police car with a bullet-pierced bonnet and a broken rear-view mirror, as well as a black VAZ car without state registration plates riddled with bullets. A human body lies in the cabin of the VAZ car. A submachine gun and a box with cartridges are left on the ground.

Social network users found the law enforcers' version implausible. "I don't understand: a man was driving a car, and at the same time he was firing from a Kalashnikov submachine gun. It was apparently Schwarzenegger who was driving the car," user blatnoy_udar001vip expressed his irony. "A child from a kindergarten will not believe that: the car without state registration numbers was full of firearms," wrote user 2435mmm.

In their comments, many users noted that the video posted by the police does not contain footage of the shootout itself. "It's an absolute farce, until you post the video from a car DVR," wrote user m_m_a_z_a_.
