Third coronavirus patient dies in Azerbaijan

In Azerbaijan, the number of coronavirus-infected people reached 112. Of them, three died and other five recovered.

A citizen of Azerbaijan, born in 1961, who returned from Turkey on March 12, died. Doctors and law enforcers are engaged in identifying relatives of the deceased man and people with whom the patient had come into contact. All of them are being sent to quarantine, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports with reference to the operational headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan.

104 patients diagnosed with the coronavirus infection stay in hospitals. The condition of five of them is assessed as serious.

In Azerbaijan, doctors have already conducted 20,000 tests to identify coronavirus-infected people. In the country, cases of the coronavirus infection are detected both among the people who arrived in Azerbaijan from abroad, and among those infected within the country. The operational headquarters called on residents to comply with self-isolation measures, leave home only when absolutely necessary, and not to visit crowded places.

On March 24, a special quarantine regime has been introduced in Azerbaijan. People over 65 years old are not allowed to leave home until April 20. The week from March 29 to April 4 is declared non-working.
