Makhachkala residents report summoning to police for visiting "Tangim" Mosque

After the Friday namaz (prayer), more than 40 law enforcers were stopping the cars of the visitors to the "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala and copying out their personal data. One of the believers was put on the so-called "prophylactic registry" after visiting the "Tangim"; and another reported being summoned to the police.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that law enforcers are regularly conducting their raids in the vicinity of the "Tangim" Mosque. In February, one of the believers complained that law enforcers used threats to force him to appear for a "conversation" after they had copied out his personal data during the raid.

A "Tangim" parishioner named Abdul, who earlier said that policemen exhibited their interest in him, found out that he had been put on the "prophylactic registry".

The law enforcers who summoned Abdul to the police suggested that he had been standing next to someone who had been suspected by law enforcers. The man himself is confident that none of his acquaintances is a supporter of radical views and is on the "prophylactic registry".

Another believer named Zamir told that law enforcers began showing interest in him after he was stopped at the "Tangim" Mosque in January.
