Suspect of leak of operative video in Ingushetia detained

A resident of Ingushetia is suspected of the leak of the operative video, after which a woman who got into it was killed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in February, after an attempt to detain Isa Altemirov, who was suspected of involvement in a group of blackmailers, a video shot by operative agents appeared on the Internet. The girl who got into the video was killed the next day. According to law enforcers, her brother confessed to committing the murder and stated that his sister had dishonoured the family.

A 32-year-old resident of Ingushetia has been detained on suspicion of breaching one's privacy by abusing his official position, the Investigating Department (ID) for Ingushetia of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has reported on its website.

According to investigators, the man posted on the Internet a video clip made by a police officer on February 6. It depicts the circumstances of the operative-search activities of detaining a local resident who had been put on the federal wanted list, investigators have explained.

Investigators have applied to the court to arrest the suspect, the report says.
