Member of Chechen family, winner of European Court suit, indignant with its decision

Saidali Luluev, husband of Nura Lulueva, a peaceful resident murdered in Chechnya, whose family is the winner of the yesterday's, November 9, case versus Russia at the European Court for Human Rights, remains unsatisfied with the Court's judgment. He himself told about it in a telephone talk with the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" from his home in the city of Gudermes of the Chechen Republic.

Saidali Luluev's dissatisfaction is caused by the fact that he did not found himself among the relatives who should be compensated by the Russian Federation for material and moral damage under the verdict of the Strasbourg Court; although he lost his wife and took part in lodging the complaint. "I fond the Court's verdict inadequate, since my rights have been infringed. I was punished twice: first they killed my wife, then I was fired for lodging a complaint to the European Court. The latter has disregarded it, is it fair?" Mr. Luluev stated.

The web-site www.srji.org informs that Nura Lulueva's body and the bodies of her cousins were detected in February 2001 in a mass burial in Chechnya not far from the Khankala military base among the remnants of fifty-one persons.
