FSB reports detention of six extremists in Dagestan

The FSB Department for Dagestan reported the detention of supporters of the "At-Takfir Val-Hijra" extremist organization banned in Russia.

The law enforcement bodies consider six detainees as leaders and active members of a local unit of the extremist organization. "In the course of searches at their residential addresses, literature, and electronic information carriers with extremist materials were found," reports a source.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 23, the court imposed a fine on a resident of the Rutul District of Dagestan, at whose place law enforcers found a flag of the "Islamic State", a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court.
