Several meetings held in Dagestan

On the occasion of the holiday, a solemn rally was held in the Dagestan House of Government.

Mukhu Aliev, head of Dagestan, who opened the event, stated that the main target for today is "to strive for interethnic and inter-confessional concord, to fight corruption, terrorism and extremism, and to bring back the people's confidence in the power."

Today, Makhachkala was also the place of the meeting of the youth held by the Dagestan Regional Branch of the All-Russian Public Organization "Young Guards of United Russia."

In the city of Kizlyar, activists of the Movement "NASHI" (OURS) held a mass public action under the motto "Our United Country" with participation of about 800 persons.

Similar actions also took place in other cities Dagestan. The participants there have called all the citizens of the country to national tolerance and non-admission of interethnic conflicts.
