Azerbaijani military killed on Armenian border

Farzali Farzaliev, a border guard, was killed by a sniper's shot from Armenia, the Azerbaijani State Border Service (SBS) has stated, refuting the allegation about an attempt of Azerbaijani militaries' advance.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Artsrun Ovannisyan, the press secretary for the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD), said on Tuesday that "Azerbaijan tried to conduct engineering works at the frontline in the Tavush direction," and "the Armenian side opened a warning fire."

"The armed forces of Armenia have committed another provocation, by grossly violating the ceasefire on the contact line on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border. Farzali Farzaliev, a border guard, was killed on Tuesday by an enemy sniper's shot in the village of Guschu Airym, Gazakh District," the Azerbaijani SBS has reported on its website.

The SBS has also refuted the statement of the Armenian MoD that the border guard was killed in connection with the Azerbaijan's attempts to perform some engineering works and advance its positions.
