YouTube users watch film about Chemurziev and express their support to Ingush activists

In the documentary "Repressions", parents of Barakh Chemurziev, a leader of the protests in Ingushetia, spoke about his detention and called on people to fight for the "people's cause." YouTube users who watched the today's premiere of the film noted that the history of the Chemurziev family was typical for Ingushetia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the autumn of 2018 and in the spring of 2019, Barakh Chemurziev, the chairman of the public movement "Support of Ingushetia", participated in protests against the border agreement with Chechnya. On April 3, 2019, he was detained and then taken into custody. The Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" recognized Barakh Chemurziev and other protest leaders in Ingushetia as political prisoners.

Today, the "Fortanga Org" YouTube channel has arranged a premiere of the 10-minute documentary film "Repressions. Parents of Barakh Chemurziev about his son and themselves".

YouTube users expressed their support to Barakh Chemurziev and other protesters. "I believe that while listening to you, every Ingush native compares your story with the tragic fate of his or her family," wrote user Amnat Daudovna while addressing the parents of Barakh Chemurziev.

"All the leaders who are able to gather the people in a single fist were jailed [taken into custody]," user Askhab Gorets complained. "May Allah punish all those involved in the oppression of the Ingush people," wrote, in turn, user Lia livnmp.
