Law enforcers tighten control over visitors to "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala

Law enforcers have deployed an additional post at the "Tangim" Mosque. The practice of detentions after Friday namaz (prayer) has been stopped, but mosque visitors are still put on the so-called "prophylactic registration", believers assert.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that law enforcers are regularly conducting their Friday raids in the vicinity of the "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala, explaining this by their care about citizens' safety.

The fact that this time there were four posts, not three, as usual, speaks of tightening the control over parishioners, the journalist, Idris Yusupov, is sure. He has noted that law enforcers abandoned their earlier practice of bring believers to police stations for entering their data into databases.

Earlier, raids were accompanied by detentions. This stopped after this March employees of the mosque complained to the Prosecutor's Office.

Detentions during raids are no longer practiced, but the essence of these measures remains the same, said Khalid, a visitor to the "Tangim" Mosque.

According to Magomed, another parishioner, the change in law enforcers' tactics has to do only with the wide coverage of Friday's raids in by media and discussions thereof in social networks.
