Armenian soldier wounded on Azerbaijani border

Armen Chakhmakhchyan, a contract soldier, was wounded by an Azerbaijani shot, the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated. The soldier was hospitalized; his life is out of danger.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 2, the Armenian MoD reported wounding of a contract soldier in shelling attack on Azerbaijani border; and on the following day – the death of the 28-year-old contract soldier Musheg Abovyan in the same Tavush Region. In another section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, a tractor driver was wounded, the MoD stated. According to Azerbaijan, in a shootout on October 2, an excavator operator, who was working on the road near the troops contact line, perished.

Armen Chakhmakhchyan was wounded near the village of Koti, the Tavush Region, on October 4, Artsrun Ovannisyan, the spokesman of the Armenian MoD, has stated. According to his story, during recent days, one Armenian military serviceman perished; and three other soldiers were wounded, the "Sputnik Armenia" reports.
