Armenian soldier dies on Azerbaijani border

On Thursday, October 3, a contract military serviceman was killed in a shelling attack undertaken by Azerbaijan; and a tractor driver was wounded on another section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported.

According to the MoD, the 28-year-old Musheg Abovyan was killed as a result of a shelling attack in the Tavush Region. Also, an Armenian tractor driver, who performed some engineering works in the Noyemberyan District, was wounded, Artsrun Ovannisyan, the press secretary of the Armenian MoD, has stated.

Besides, on October 3, Azerbaijan announced machine-gun attacks from Armenia; and on the morning on October 2, it accused the Armenian side of 22 shelling attacks on pre-border areas and an attack on border points. Armenia reported the wounding of its soldier; Azerbaijan – the death of an excavator operator, who worked in the conflict zone.
