GPO reports about prevented terror act in Adygea

A check of the social media groups that promoted violence at schools, conducted after the tragedy at the Kerch Polytechnic College, has prevented a terror act, pre-planned by a resident of Adygea, said the spokesman for the Russian General Prosecutor's Office (GPO).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 17, 2018, an explosion and shooting happened at the Kerch Polytechnic College. As a result, 21 people perished and over 50 others were wounded. Investigators asserted that the attack was committed by Vladislav Roslyakov, a fourth-year student of the Kerch Polytechnic College.

After the tragedy in Kerch, a check was launched of the social network groups that promote violence at educational institutions, the "Interfax-South" reports, citing Konstantin Somov, the head of the GPO for the Southern Federal District (SFD) of Russia.

It turned out that one of the users had planned to commit a terror act in Adygea. "The young man had planned a terror act; and in was prevented," the TASS quoted Mr Somov as saying.
