Soldier of the Russian military base in Gyumri dies

Signs of violent death have been found on the body of the perished soldier of the 102nd Russian military base in Gyumri, the Armenian Investigating Committee (AIC) has reported.

The body of a 23-year-old soldier was found today in Gyumri. "Cuts were found on the body of the deceased," investigators have stated.

The AIC has opened a criminal case, the TASS has reported today, not specifying the article under which it was opened.

The body is of the soldier Alexander Babushkin; it was found in a city apartment, says the today's publication in the Armenian website of the crime chronicle "Shamshyan.com" (translation by the "Caucasian Knot").

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that at night on March 8, in Gyumri, a Russian soldier, Radjan Kazhimirov, was wounded with a knife. He was hospitalized in grave condition. A resident of Armenia was detained on suspicion of stabbing the soldier.
