VIIth part of expert Saveliev's report on Beslan published

Yury Saveliev, author of the "Beslan: hostages' truth" report made public late in August, has prepared a new, seventh part of it.

The conclusions contained in the seventh part of the report again (like its previous parts) refute the official version both of the investigation agency and the parliamentary commission. The main sensation is that, according to Saveliev's calculations, the number of militants taking part in the attack was from 56 to 78, rather than 32. And there were more than two automobiles which had brought the militants to the school.

The number of terrorists is the key issue of the investigation of the terrorist act in Beslan, which has been causing disputes from the very beginning. The official version has claimed from the very beginning that there were 32 invaders. However, neither the hostages nor independent investigators believe this figure, writes NEWSru.com.

The "Beslan: hostages' truth" report by Yuri Saveliev, member of the parliamentary commission on investigation of the Beslan terrorist act, State Duma deputy from the "Rodina" party, doctor of sciences (technology), top category expert in the area of physics of burning and explosions, has been fully published at the site "The truth of Beslan" and partially in the "Novaya Gazeta" newspaper. The document is based on the testimony of victims in court, photo and video records, explosion studies and calculations, and materials of the investigation and expert evaluations. According to the Saveliev's report, the special task force and Ossetin home guards started to storm the school after two explosions had been heard in the school gymnasium. The explosions of the school gymnasium and the fire resulted from a shot of the jet flame thrower and grenade launcher made from the 5-floor buildings in front of the school, causing the death of many hostages. The deputy asserts that, in the course of the attack, the soldiers were gunning the school from tanks, grenade launchers and flame throwers.
