One person killed in CTO zone in Ingush village

A militant who was plotting a terror act was killed during a counterterrorist operation (CTO) conducted in the village of Voznesenskoye, the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime has been introduced in the village of Voznesenskoye in the Malgobek District. A source reported that a shootout occurred between law enforcers and militants.

The CTO in the village of Voznesenskoye has become the first in Ingushetia since January 2019.

According to the NAC, the militant was hiding in a house, when law enforcers offered him to lay down his arms and surrender, but he started shooting and was killed, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
