Opponents of LGBT march in Tbilisi threaten to disrupt it

The activists who oppose the "March of Dignity" in Tbilisi have draw up an action plan to prevent the LGBT action.

The LGBT organization named "Tbilisi Pride" announced the "March of Dignity" to be held in the capital of Georgia on July 8, and demanded from law enforcers to ensure the marchers' safety.

"We'll unite to disrupt the announced LGBT march," Guram Palavandishvili, one of the anti-LGBT activists, has declared on the Facebook.

The businessman, Levan Vasadze, has also invited people to go out to a counteraction. In his video appeal posted in a social network, he said that residents of other cities of Georgia would come to support the opponents of the LGBT march.

Clergymen are also ready to oppose the LGBT action. They decided to take different places in the city on the day of the march. At the same time, they do not oppose the way of life of LGBT representatives, which is conducted "behind closed doors," Archpriest David Isakadze said on air of Georgian Channel One.

"In fact, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) demonstrates that there are no guarantees that our right to life and health will be protected," Nino Bolkvadze, legal officer at the NGO "Movement for Equality", said on air of the "Rustavi-2" TV Company.
