Ekaterina Beseliya delivers ultimatum to authorities of Georgia

Ekaterina Beseliya, a member of the Georgian parliament, requested the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the General Prosecutor's Office to release "the final information" concerning the case on dissemination of the video with her intimate life.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 27, a teenager was detained in Georgia, suspected of disseminating video with the private life of MP Ekaterina Beseliya. This is the second publication of the video compromising her. After the first incident, 18 people were detained, and some of them were arrested. Meanwhile, Ekaterina Beseliya criticized the police for failure to find a customer for the dissemination of the compromising videos.

MP Ekaterina Beseliya delivered an ultimatum to the Georgian MIA and the General Prosecutor's Office with a request to provide "the final information" concerning the case on dissemination of the video with her intimate life.

According to Ekaterina Beseliya, after examination of the case materials, investigators identified a circle of suspects, and the MP requested the law enforcement bodies to bring the suspects to responsibility.

"Some group of persons was brought to responsibility, but others were not brought to responsibility...," Ekaterina Beseliya stated on the air of the "Rustavi-2" Georgian TV Company.

According to Ekaterina Beseliya, the fact that not all guilty persons are brought to responsibility speaks either of "the weakness of the law enforcement bodies or the connivance of the guilty persons by some influential figures."
