"Dashnaktsutyun" Party reproaches Pashinyan for absence of reforms

About 2400 people gathered at the rally of the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" in Yerevan. A year has passed after the "velvet revolution", but the promised economic changes have not happened; the new government only sows hatred and enmity, trying to distract citizens from real problems, protesters have stated.

On May 23, the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" rally was held in Yerevan under the slogan "Think again!", the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, who watched the event live on "Factor.TV", reports.

According to the estimate of the "Union of Informed Citizens", as of 7:30 p.m. local time, the rally was 2400 people strong.

The economic revolution promised by Pashinyan did not take place, Arthur Khachatryan, a member of the Supreme Bureau of the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun", said at the rally. He recalled that Arsen Davtyan, Deputy Minister of Public Health, was arrested; David Sanasaryan, the head of the State Control Service, was accused of abuse of power. The victory over corruption and the elimination of oligarchy fail to guarantee economic growth, said Khachatryan.

Lilit Galstyan, another member of the Supreme Bureau of the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun", has stated that over the past year an atmosphere of hatred and enmity has formed in Armenia.

"They began splitting the society into whites and blacks. Such a policy has eventually acquired the character of street justice, the search for internal enemies and counter-revolutionaries," she said at the rally.

The references to counter-revolution and artificial opposition will not give a chance to authorities to divert the public from real problems, Ms Galstyan has stated.
