Unique festival "Atazhukin Sound" launched in Nalchik

The "Atazhukin Sound" festival will involve musicians from different cities; lectures and DJ sessions will be held, Bulat Khalilov, one of the organizers of the festival, has reported. He also noted that he was not afraid of disrupting the festival as it happened in Dagestan.

The opening of the two-day festival of urban culture "Atazhukin Sound" attracted about 70 people but according to Bulat Khalilov, most of the visitors are expected in the evening, when musical groups will start performing, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The "Atazhukin Sound" is held on May 10-11, in the Nalchik Recreation and Leisure Park. "The festival will present the current state of the independent Nalchik stage and acquaint the city with current projects of the nearest and distant neighbours," says the page of the festival in the "VKontakte" social network.

Mr Khalilov has stated that Nalchik has no problems faced by organizers of youth festivals in Dagestan. "It's a pity that it happened with the 'AniDag'. We were sincerely glad that they had their own festival in Dagestan," he said.

On November 25, 2018, the "AniDag" anime festival, which was to be held at the Avar Theatre, was disrupted in Makhachkala. The theatre directorate and the organizers were bombarded with threats. According to the organizers, aggressive-minded people humiliated and insulted the participants of the festival.
