Akhmed Barakhoev convoyed to Vladikavkaz

Neither the defence nor the relatives were infirmed about the transfer of Akhmed Barakhoev, the leader of protests in Ingushetia, from Nalchik to Vladikavkaz, Fatima Urusova and Akhmed's son Ilez has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 13, the administrative arrests in Nalchik of three leaders of Ingush protests – Akhmed Barakhoev, Musa Malsagov and Barakh Chemurziev – were over. However, they were immediately arrested again, this time under the criminal case about incitement to mass riots and using violence against law enforcers. All the three were imprisoned for two months.

During his first arrest, on April 4-13, Akhmed Barakhoev held a hunger strike with a demand to respect other people's rights.

Fatima Urusova, a Barakhoev's advocate, said that she came today to her client to the Nalchik SIZO (pre-trial prison) to have him sign a petition for the Supreme Court. "I learned that Barakhoev was not there, because he had been convoyed to Vladikavkaz the day before," Ms Urusova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Today, Ilez Barakhoev, an Akhmed's son also arrived in Nalchik to hand a parcel over to his father. "The girls from the SIZO began checking the database to see in what cell my father was kept. Suddenly it turned out that since yesterday he was not there. According to a woman-employee of the SIZO, the father was yesterday convoyed to the SIZO-6 in Vladikavkaz for conducting some investigating actions," Ilez Barakhoev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, stressing that nobody of the relatives was informed about it.
