Thousands gathered for a protest in Magas

Today, residents of Ingushetia have gathered in central Magas, responding to the call of the organizing committee of the rally against the referendum law.

The territory assigned for the rally, a square in front of the "Ingushetia" National TV and Radio Company (NTRC), is surrounded by a metal fence, and the frameworks with metal detectors are installed, Magomed Mutsolgov, a protest participant and the head of the "Mashr" human rights organization, wrote in his blog that he runs on the "Caucasian Knot".

According to his story, "there are a huge number of law enforcers in the city." "About 10,000 people have already gathered in the square in Magas; and people continue coming. They discuss the latest events and express their extreme dissatisfaction with the actions of the regional authorities," Mr Mutsolgov wrote at 10:15 a.m. Moscow time.

Let us remind you that on October 4-17, 2018, in Magas, a round-the-clock protest against the change of the border with Chechnya was held. Starting from October 8, the action was sanctioned by the authorities.
