Azerbaijan reports 22 shelling attacks in conflict zone

Positions of the Azerbaijani armed forces in the Karabakh conflict zone, including in a border village, has been shelled 22 times a day, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 24, Azerbaijan registered 23 shelling attacks on its positions from Armenia. In its turn, Nagorno-Karabakh accused the Azerbaijani armed forces of 180 shelling attacks on its positions during the week from March 17 to 23.

During 24 hours from March 24 to 25, the ceasefire regime in the conflict zone was violated 22 times the Azerbaijani MoD reports on its website today. The positions of the Azerbaijani armed forces in the village of Gushchu Airym in the Gazakh District were shelled from the Armenian side, and the fire also came from the positions located "near the occupied villages," the Azerbaijani MoD reports.

By 8:30 a.m. Moscow time on today, the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not yet posted on their websites any comments concerning the Azerbaijani MoD's statement about shelling.
