Yerevan resident sent to mental hospital after car arson attempt at Mayoralty

A resident of Armenia tried to set fire to his car at the Yerevan Mayoralty. Policemen detained him and took him to a psychiatric hospital.

On March 8, the 36-year-old man parked his car in front of the Mayoralty, poured gasoline over it and tried to set fire to it. Policemen stopped him, and opened a criminal case on hooliganism, the press service of the Armenian Police told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to unofficial information, the man decided to burn his car down in protest against the Mayoralty's decision to ban street trading, the "Shamshyan.com" reports.
