Two Dagestan residents sentenced for links with militants

The court has sentenced two brothers from the Kizlyar District, accused of participating in the armed underground, to nine years in prison each, the Prosecutor's Office has informed.

The court has established that in 2017, two brothers joined an illegal armed formation (IAF) in the territory of the Kizlyar District and took over the responsibility for the material and technical support of the grouping. They also received grenades from the leader of the grouping and illegally stored them.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in February, a female resident of Dagestan was accused of links with militants. According to the Prosecutor's Office, she had joined militants and participated in attacking and kidnapping two persons.
