Ingush activist arrested for trying to hold action in memory of deportation

A court in Nazran has arrested Urus Kurskiev, an activist, for three days for an attempt to hold an unsanctioned march of the deported nations of the Caucasus.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, Kurskiev was brought to the Centre for Combating Extremism (CCE) of the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

The today's march das been disrupted, Mr Kurskiev has stated, explaining that he had no time to sanction the action.

The activist is under a threat of up to ten days of arrest, correctional works or a fine.
