Four wounded in Chechnya

Four contract soldiers were seriously wounded in a blast of a military truck in Chechnya's Nozhai-Yurt district, a Radio Liberty correspondent reports.

Some of the rebels who took part in an attack on a checkpoint were detained in the republic, too.

Two members of illegal armed formations were detained in the Leninskii district of Grozny. "It has already been established that they took part in firing a grenade launcher at the Ural truck with riot police officers in Zhukovskii St, as well as in the attack on checkpoint No 10 which led to four police officers sustaining wounds," RIA Novosti quoted the police as saying.
