"Muslim Unity" activist arrested in Azerbaijan

Bakhtiyar Bagirov, an activist of the "Muslim Unity" Movement, was arrested for 20 days. His fate remained unknown to his relatives for five days.

Bakhtiyar Bagirov was detained by people in civilian clothes and taken away to some unknown place on February 6. His whereabouts became known only on February 11, said Ogtai Gyulyalyev, the coordinator of the Centre for the Protection of Political Prisoners, adding that Bakhtiyar's relatives told him that at the time of his detention he was in a tea house in the dwelling settlement of Bakikhanov. Five days later, it became known that Bagirov was arrested for 20 days and is kept at the Binagadi SIZO (pre-trial prison), the "contact.az" informs.

What exactly is imputed to Bagirov is not reported.
