Three persons arrested in Southern Russia within the case of financing IS

In Dagestan, Krasnodar Territory and Adygea, under the guise of charitable activities, members of the grouping raised money for Syrian militants, the FSB has reported.

The conspiratorial grouping operated in the above regions; its members raised money for the Syrian militants of the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, the press service of the Russian Federal Security Bureau (FSB) has reported.

"A scheme of financing members of the terrorist organization in the amount of over 10 million roubles has been documented," says the FSB's website, adding that three suspects are under arrest and have already confessed.

The 'Caucasian Knot' has reported that on February 9, 2018, the North-Caucasian District Military Court sentenced six defendants within the case of the IS' cell in Karachay-Cherkessia to long prison terms.
