FSB reports killing IS* militants in Stavropol

Members of a terrorist organization rendered armed resistance during their detention in Stavropol, reported the FSB. The number of the killed suspects was not reported.

According to the FSB, a set of measures was implemented in Stavropol to stop the activities of members of the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court.

"During an attempt to detain them, the criminals rendered armed resistance to fighters of the Russian FSB special forces. In response, members of the international terrorist organization 'Islamic State'* were neutralized," the TASS quoted the Russian FSB Centre for Public Relations as reporting.

According to the report, no fighters of the Russian FSB were injured. Meanwhile, the FSB did not report how many people were killed during the special operation.
