Dagestani journalists note an increase in aggression in society

The authorities do not have any clear position on aggression in Dagestani society, note analysts. According to them, aggression in the republic is associated with the system of social and religious classes in society.

A meeting of the "Alternative" discussion and analytical centre was held on November 27, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports. At the meeting, analysts discussed events at the "Best" club, where a fighter of the National Guard of Russia was killed in a shootout, an assassination attempt on singer Mashidat Omaraskhabova, and a disruption of an anime festival.

Murad Akhmedov, the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Literary Dagestan", believes that the heat of aggression has always been quite high in Dagestani society, and the appearance of social networks has transferred the tension to another plane.

Aggression is associated with the system of social classes, in which a significant part of the population is not confident of the future, says local resident Tamerlan Gadjiev.

An ideological protest is growing in Dagestan, believes Magomed Magomedov, the deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Chernovik" (Draft).

"Due to the lack of career and social elevators, a conflict arises between secular and religious spheres," the journalist has explained.

In Dagestan, the laws of the secular state act selectively, notes political analyst Albert Esedov, the head of the regional branch of the "Yabloko" Party.

According to political analyst Shafi Akushali, the process of degradation of society has begun in Dagestan.
