Relatives of Eradil Asanov demand to punish persons responsible for his murder
The investigation into the case on the murder of Eradil Asanov, a resident of Terekli-Mekteb, was resumed, but the law enforcer who shot and killed him was not brought to justice. This was declared by Eradil Asanov's relatives at a picket in Makhachkala.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Eradil Asanov, a 22-year-old resident of Terekli-Mekteb, was shot dead by a law enforcer on October 6, 2014. According to the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the law enforcers had to use his service weapon after the young man detained on suspicion of murder attacked him with a knife. According to the relatives of the killed man, Eradil Asanov was fatally wounded when law enforcers demanded from him to confess to a crime.
Today, in the central square of Makhachkala, the relatives of killed Eradil Asanov have held a series of solo pickets with the demand to punish the law enforcer responsible for his death.
The action, organized to attract the authorities' attention to the case of Eradil Asanov, gathered 15 relatives of the young man. They insist that the law enforcer responsible for the Eradil Asanov's death is to be sentenced.
"My son was killed four years ago. However, the murderer has not yet been punished. The criminal case is re-opened and closed, and the results of the forensic examination are falsified. There is no progress in the case. My son is lying in the grave, and his killer quietly goes to his work," said at the rally Yumabike Adilgereeva, a mother of killed Eradil Asanov.
